FabrikC‘s mastermind Thorsten Berger began experimenting with hard electro sounds in the late 80′s influenced and inspired by leading bands Depeche Mode and Front 242. Berger was part of a demo group called “The Empire of Darkness” that experimented with demos made using the C64 (Commodore 64) machine. Lack of time and experimenting with different singing styles delayed the release of the EPs “Leidensweg”, “Farblos” and “Der Zweite Tod”. FabrikC achieved spot 14 in the German Alternative Charts (Deutsche Alternative Charts) with the club samples from ‘Der Zweite Tod’.
The year 2005 was a successful year for FabrikC: Berger released ‘Gleichstrom’ and made a few appearances at small festivals for other bands like SHNARPH!, and was signed by the label ProNoize/Dark Dimensions. His latest release is ‘Impulsgeber’ in 2007 with the collaboration of bands such as Noisuf-X, XOTOX and S.A.M. Recommended tracks that will definitely have you dancing on the Club are ‘Chinese Food’ and ‘Andere Welt’.
Berger’s website is in German and his shop is the only one in English. The bio that I provided here is direct property of Thorsten Berger and FabrikC, the translation to English is as accurate as my knowledge of German language permitted.
